Bifold & Card Wallets
Slim profiles that break in rather than break down. Cut from a single hide so the grain runs true across the fold, edges bevelled and burnished to a glass finish.
Hand crafted · Full grain leather
Spondylus Leather is a one-bench workshop specializing in wallets and custom belts. Every piece is cut, bevelled, burnished and saddle stitched by hand from full grain hides — no shortcuts, no glued edges, no plastic lining.

Small catalogue, deep focus. These are the things the bench turns out, week in, week out.
Slim profiles that break in rather than break down. Cut from a single hide so the grain runs true across the fold, edges bevelled and burnished to a glass finish.
Measured to you, not to a size chart. Choose the width, the hide, the hardware and the finish; holes punched where they actually need to be.
Key fobs, notebook covers, tool rolls, sheaths, straps. If it can be cut from a hide and stitched by hand, bring the idea to the bench.
Four or five hours at the bench for a wallet. Longer if the hide asks for it.
Full grain only — the top layer left intact, so the leather darkens and patinas instead of flaking. Hides are laid out and cut around the brands, bites and growth marks.
Panels cut by hand with a fresh blade, folds skived thin so the piece sits flat in a pocket rather than wedging it open.
Pricked, then stitched with two needles and waxed thread. If a stitch ever fails, the row beside it holds — unlike a machine lockstitch that unzips.
Edges sanded, slicked and burnished until they shine, then dressed. The mark goes on last.
A belt should be the last one you buy. Tell me the waist measurement, the width you wear, the buckle you like and whether you want it plain, tooled or stamped — and it gets cut, finished and stitched to those numbers.
The shop, the feed, and the bench.
